@Karlos,
I damn well know what you're talking about. I've had a very, very tough week, and don't know how to handle it. Maybe it's time to write things down. To make things 'solid', so you don't have to remember it (and thus, continuously rethink about it). It's me moms advice, so it must be good :-)

Time for a group hug to celebrate the return of a lost sheep. :-)

Looking at Wikipedia, the text shouldn't be much of a problem.

The only thing I can suggest is that in my experience when I'm having a rough time of it, I usually need a perspective change (not that attaining one can be particularly easy much of the time)...but then again I like cruel and bizarre social engineering games...
How about quitting a project 'out of the blue', and with that, dropping the project-group as a stone, because you're the only one in the group who has in-depth technical knowledge?
That's what I did this week. How's that about a cruel and bizarre social engineering game?
The backgrounds of the other students of the project group were completely irrelevant to the subject. I didn't have any influence on how the project group was formed in the first place. Ah well, maybe I myself was being subjected to a rather cruel social engineering game... :lol:
Anyway, continuously explaining why this or that can or can't be done, the impossibility to answer in a nuanced way (because they won't understand it) and the impossibility of getting the necessary nuanced information from them, took it's toll last weekend.

I can be an asshole, yes. But only when people demand impossible things from me.

But I don't like it being an asshole. Far from it. :cry:

Oh damn that song...
Friends of me at a Scouting camp were singing this very loudly when drunk, at 5am, while I tried to sleep. A grumpy me with two buckets of water thrown over them made it stop veeeery quickly :lol:

What do you people do for fun?
Without wanting to sound like a treehugging hippy, I search for intriguing things, in music, art and nature. Continuously watching the world from a distance, or very very close. And not expecting anything.

You're absolutely right. There is a reason... I'm sick of being single and I don't have many friends. Before I didn't mind so much, I was involved with the Amiga community, I had my videogames etc to distract me. For some reason, none of this matters anymore. For the past year I have been trying to change this situation, and so far I have been completely unsuccessful, which makes me feel like I've lost ever hope to ever achieve anything...
As if games ever mattered...
Being a gamer it's a tough one for me to say, but I keep my eyes and ears open for the other good things in life, which also "do not matter". I don't care whether something matters or not.

I dunno, I find Tiberium Wars is pretty good at distracting me from things when I start to get stuck in the depressive-thinking cycle.
I prefer things like this
