In the end it all boils down to usability and the pricetag. If it ships with hardware one can only make use of from Linux, and the pricetag is high, then it is rather pointless.

I too can imagine things. Let's just say that I'm not overly optimistic, and that's a result from the trail of unsupported hardware in OS4, from the earliest AmigaOnes to the Samflex. I would be very surprised to see all devices on the X1000 supported and utilized from OS4.
