Recomendations for a joystick for WinUAE
« on: September 16, 2012, 05:50:26 AM »
I'd love to be able to play all my old games with a joystick, but having some trouble finding one that is close to the old Star Cursor. in look and feel, the flight sim type are crap for games that require pounding on the fire button.

Is there an interface that you can (still) get for the PC, to plug in an original Amiga joystick?

would love a Catweasel MK4 but they are no longer made.

if you still have yor old joystick...

So this will work with WinUAE? if so it would be ideal.

There are DB9-USB adapters out there but I have never used one, a few guys make them though.

I also found these nicer sticks, they cost a bit more but look like they have higher quality parts:

Thanks, I think I'll get an adapter and put the Star-Cursor back in action. Those boxes are huge and I really like the thumb Fire.

Catweasel is definitely faster, but doesn't work with any 64 Bit OS - nobody ported the drivers.

Oh, I guess one of those is out then win 7 64bit here.
