my PageStream professional web site idea
« on: December 10, 2010, 01:47:38 AM »
Hello guys

I have found some free time and start drawing in Photoshop from scratch - my idea how my favorite program - PageStream - should be presented to the world.

I did this web site idea in a 4-5 hours of work so I am interested - what do you think about it and do you have suggestions.

I have sent Deron this preview work and I am expecting to see if he has some free time to implement better work into a great program that still is PageStream...

All comments are welcome.

It looks good, but I would have thought that you would have used PageStream to put this together. Is that not possible?

Everything is possible, I believe, but with Photoshop [that seems to be my "mum and dad"] ;) in term of gfx world - I did it just in few hours. You can do this even in DPaint if you have enough time and nerves :)

During my work with Amiga computer, I pushed PageStream to the limits and used its [those days pretty limited] drawing tools to create some good vector objects and designs. And it was back in 1998.

Its odd you posted this just now. I have out of using Pagestream for a while, but just within this past week got back in touch with Deron about upgrading... (I am still using v3.4!)
I can't wait to get the newest version of this program...
Same here. No use of PGS for ages but then my father asked me to buy a PC version of PageStream so I returned with some ideas :) I think my father is the last remaining "serious" user as he uses this program on real Amiga to produce and print some psychological texts that are sent to printing companies... He would need PC version as our Amiga is very very limited in getting datas [no USB or quick copy/paste] - I even bought ZIP drive in our "E-bay" like web site for quick copy/paste between Amiga and PC but looks like my old Zip drive, implemented in Amiga tower case does not read ZIPs anymore :(

Pagestream was always my DTP of choice, in fact I have never found another software which  is so intuitive and easy to use. I used to use it for my local gaming club newsletter and the results were stunning.

ps. I like the website mock-up very much.

maybe they take your hint, with Joomla you can get it working in a matter of a few hours.

regards
Agree. I got positive response from Deron. I can do this web site completely for free as I have now some free time :)
