Indivision AGA for the A1200?
« on: August 08, 2010, 07:33:10 AM »
Hello all.

Does anyone know about the status of Indivision AGA production for the A1200? I am in need of one, and I'm just wondering if they will ever be produced again. If not, are there any sources for new old stock/used devices, or anyone who might be willing to sell theirs?

Also, do these devices change the main video output, or do they add another connector for VGA?

Thanks,
Tom

Sounds good.

On a related note, I read that some of the A1200 revisions have a Lisa chip that is too thin for the board to properly seat over it. Is this true, and which revisions does it apply to? I have a revision 2B board.

For those of you wondering what the new Indivision will be like, this is what I heard back from Individual a day or two ago:

"A new version of the device is planned for Xmas business of this year. Even the old ones are compatible with the Rev.2B motherboard and HP Lisa chips. The only known unresolved issue we have is with Rev.1A boards. We just recently resolved an issue with Rev.1B boards and we have one of those Rev.1A boards on it's way to us, so we can make the new unit compatible with the whole range."

Also, I have that 15KHz adaptor from ebay you're talking about, and it does work ok, except for the vertical lines, and it has this big issue where it often puts the fields in the wrong order (interlaced modes only), and changing the screen mode back and forth fixes it half the time. It's a big pain.

Oh, that 15KHz adaptor also has some jagged artifacts in NTSC with vertical lines.

If anyone has any ideas on how to fix the adaptor issues, that would be wonderful. At least until I get an Indivision. I have the 15KHz adaptor connected directly to RGB, and the H and V sync pins.
