I mean the question goes...is it even worth hacking through the card and you still will be stuck with severe bottleneck that comes with THIS type of card.

But by that very same argument, why bother with any Commodore-Amiga gear? It's just a hobby...nothing more, nothing less. As long as people get enjoyment from it then that's all that matters.

Then you have Blizzard 1260 128 Tower with AGA a little slower in CPU but even larger quantity of RAM but possible RTG upgrades and so on and so on

Add the SCSI kit and you can add another 128MB ram. That's 256MB in the desktop case (or tower if you like towers).
