I used to have one of the gadgets in the original post. It's okay. Not great but okay.
Workable for gaming, slight ghosting in workbench, and interlace works 35% of the time.
For the cost, its a workable solution, but I'd spend a bit extra if you can, and get either a proper monitor or some other scan doubling solution.
