How many more true Amiga people will it take for Genesi to get on board before the Amino fanboys concede Pegasos IS the nextgen Amiga?

Huh? that argument doesn't make any sense... that's like saying that if you get enough Chinese into Belgium, Belgium will become a part of China.

I can see how Genesi can say that their stuff has to be pretty cool if they can attract all these ex-Amiga heavyweights, but no-one can claim anything (pro or against) about what this means for the Pegasos' status as "the new Amiga."

@gravyboat:

That "red jade" sounds a lot like the Nokia N-Gage.  I wonder if that's where they ended up?

@greenboy:

I think you're referring to the island where they built the lunatic asylum  :-P

It only makes sense that Genesi is going after bigger fish than the Amiga market, just as Amiga Inc seems to be.  It's interesting to contrast the two companies - Amiga Inc seems to believe that hardware is just just something to ground the software on (hence Fleecy's whole hardware-agnostic mantra), while Genesi clearly believes that hardware is where the future is.  At the moment, Genesi's strategy seems to be paying off, especially in the light of all of Amiga Inc's hardware partners dropping them after agreeing to work together (I was actually glad to hear about MS giving Sendo the shaft - what goes around comes around).
