I am currently using an Olympus Camedia C-3000 ZOOM which is a 3.3 Megapixel camera.

It has both USB and serial interface which is handy.

The good thing about Olympus digital cameras is that they all seem to behave the same with regard to getting images off them. We (Total Amiga magazine) did a feature in issue 13 of the mag which tells you most things you will want to know, unfortunately this issue hasn't sold out yet so we cannot put it on the site for free dowmload (all out of print mags are available in PDF format fro free), gut it is available to purchase (£2.50 in UK).  http://www.totalamiga.org/backissues.html

Also if you do decide to get an Olympus (recommended) the program to get images off it is freeware (digicam) and our very own Robert Williams (the editor of the mag) has made his own GUI for it which is very easy to use (thats what I use) and is available on the SEAL website here http://www.seal-amiga.co.uk/gallery/index.html

Have fun :-)
