Even when iPhone has it's obvious technical shortcomings, the single greatest blocker (for me) is the price. I could never pay such insane amounts for using a phone.

Oh yes, my phone bill for the last 6 months was 30 eur ;-)

However, the bill will probably grow due to the HSDPA capable nokia I just bought...

The two news items are totally unrelated.

There is no iPlayer because current iPhone has no 3G.

There is no flash player because Apple thinks the current player is too slow to be usable. It can be argued whether this is a problem of the software or the iPhone.
