SCSI2 can handle 7 devices, one unit (usually id 7) is reserved for the controller itself.

Hm, never had B1260 here, just BPPC SCSI. There I had a friend build me a proper cable with lots of internal 50-pin connectors.

The BPPC SCSI has SCSI-II External Hi D-Sub connector. So the cable has matching connector and several SCSI Internal 50-pin connectors.

The end of the chain is terminated with active terminator.
