Congratulations. You've just verified that your email address is valid and that someone is reading the mails. Expect more spam.

Never reply phishing or spam emails. Never click 'remove' links. Just delete the mail. If you want to complain, use spamcop.net or similar service to send the report to ISP directly.

Well, does it matter if the 15 million of the 20 million email addressed spammed don't? They still get to the 5 million who do. Out of those lets say 5% are stupid enough to click the link without checking. That still gives 250000 hits to the fake site asking you to log in (if you do, you lose your ebay identity to the phishers...)

This is exactly why this scam works: You naturally want to verify if there really is some negative feedback... If you go to ebay.com directly with your browser you're safe. If you click the link in the email... Oops, you're f*cked.
