My system wont boot to WB without the extra ram brought by the 1230.
As long as you have a monitor that will cope with 15hkz then you will be able to do anything you need by using the early startup menu to boot straight to a CLI. Copying files from floppy is easy, from CD is harder as you'll need to mount it. But it's doable.
