No, they are not.
I was always told that the price is the amount of money which buyer is ready to pay...
If the buyer is willing to pay 1000EUR - this is the price.

Copying hardware is not a problem: if you will order about 1000pcs in China they will produce it for about 200EUR/pcs, no problem.
 
BUT:
The card will be useless as CPLD chips will not be programmed.
For your info: CPLD chip content is "locked" and cannot be simply read by some kind of reader (like EPROM or EEPROM); sorry.
These configuration files are stored in DCE basement forever.
DCE is very well aware that without these files none will copy the hardware.
 
So in short:
Without DCE support you will have 200kEUR worth bunch of completely useless (but yet nice looking) hardware.
 
Hyperion has nothing to do here.

No.
They cannot copy Cyberstorm PPC nor Blizzard PPC, sorry.
phase5 protected their design in very clever way. :)
 
I'm sure there are also other things which cannot be copied easy.
