Nice a4000 060 f/s on ebay

Personally, if I'm investing in a 4000 it would have to have PCI.
Then I could get a decent RTG card, like a VooDoo3 or A Radeon 9200.
 
Otherwise, I'd look at a 3000 with an '040 or '060 processor and one of Jen's neat flicker fixers (for better graphics modes). Cheaper, still Zorro 3, more compact, and it just looks nicer.

You would add a Flicker Fixer to an A3000? And more compact until you need CDROM access or a 3.5" Front Plate access? If you want compact, then look into an A600. Oh, no Mediator for a Plain-Jane A3000, so no Voodoo or Radeon.

Yeah, I know the limitations, but they're even worse for the A600.
I'd like to have RTG, but I can live with one of Jen's cards.
And the A3000 has some nice processor options, plus I can install a Buster11.
 
Also, I just narrowly missing getting an A3000 when the bidding went to $265.
Why would I want to spend $1000 or more on an A4000?

u forgot that A3000 comes with a free built-in perfect flickerfixer that works in all modes.

Yes, but it doesn't provide the new graphics modes that Jen's device does.
