I vote for getting OS 4.1. :)  It'll give you an idea of how NG Amigas run, and to be honest OS 3.9 just doesn't stretch your PPC in a way it deserves, imho.
Plus 4.1 for Classic is the only way to run OS 4 and still have access to the AGA chipset.
