Hmm.. I had that problem some time ago, I didn´t use Power icon though. I have only one recommendation, use
Snoopdos :-)
EDIT: I saw now that you have an A3K, maybe your ZIP-ram needs to be cleaned or just wiggled alittle. I remember that I have to do it once a month or I end up with similar problems as you do.
