Just because it is listed as 'mint', doesn't mean it has to have that intact. Infact id rather it didn't as that would suggest the battery could kill it at any time (if not already).

I class mint as something that has no yellowing (or very little) and with no marks or superficial damage. Genrally looked after.

[EDIT] Though I spot drilled holes and no side panel so not great IMHO.

Yes I rather have a machine with broken seals that is in new condition, than a mediocre /dirty/yellow one with seals intact.  Seals don't mean sh!t unless it's uber rare in the box...  But just like was said, that also means battery damage! No thanks!

Didn`t make sense.

I collect computers. The computer on offer is judged by me as not mint. I do not even give such machines a second glance. I have numerous A500+s that work perfectly out of their boxes. Getting a mint A500+ with seals intact in original box ... now thats a collectors item. And A500+'s are currently worth in working condition £25. Hardly going to make you a mint as a collectors item. One of the most prolific computers made of all time I would guess.

Anyway... we are quibbling over nonsense. The buyer makes the judgement, not the seller.

I also collect computers.  Infact I have a lot.  Commodore, Atari computers, 8-bit and 16-bits.  Some classic Macs too.  (you have more than me tho! LOL)

And I would rather collect a computer that is in MINT/NEW shape and has a broken seal, than a dirty nasty yellow dogged out system with a nice virgin seal.

That's just me tho!  We just have a different collector business model  ;)
