I've found that most of the best series have to be seen beginning to end in order. I missed too much of the new bg series, but I'm keeping up on Caprica on syfy. I missed a lot of b5 I wanted to get all of it on dvd but haven't yet. Farscape is another good one.

oh no americans don't get irony at all

@tension re: On reflection i should've put a smiley after the 2nd time i said it. Irony doesn't transfer well sometimes. Whoops!

No need.  I get Irony.  Americans don't. Thats where you went wrong.

After studying the subject at length as well as the posts in question I believe that your grasp of the concept is lacking. Posting the same comment twice and expecting readers to assume the second was irony is incorrect. Also stating that "Americans don't" get irony when said posting was infact not ironic is also incorrect. A cross reference of cited materials shows clearly that a cutural bias towards or against irony is inferred primarily from a cultural basis. A study of current and past American periodical and literary reviews shows significant ironic element which may or may not translate to other cultures or literary frames. The postings in question are best understood perhaps as a misplaced attempt at humor or possibly other input would indeed place such a statement firmly in the realm of troldom as defined by contemporary, online participants.

For further information please see my 16 volume works on confounding societal concepts including not only irony, but also sarcasm, lying, jokes and their intellectual componants, and others.

@tension
perhaps you should read between the lines, i was using irony. i "get" irony but through a big long convoluted post i show that I dont actually get irony. Kindof like a sign saying I cant afford a sign.

rain on your wedding day, you are generalizing americans based on a song? If every single day was beautiful and the one day you wanted to be perfect it rained that would be ironic. and bad luck. I was joking with all those citations but maybe you might want to click on them...all of them.

btw it would be ironic to post "I can't be a troll since I have never posted anything here" or something to that effect. repeating your post even with a smiley might be funny but not ironic.
unless i am actually getting it all wrong
Course we can overlook that since the Irish dont get irony :o

There is the point that the song is not american , given that the writer/singer is canadian.

But that song does not contain one single piece of Irony.

You do know what Irony is , don't you Bladric.

Yeah is like bronzey and goldey

Ha, bronzey and goldey nice :)
