What's Eyetech's official excuse these days for keeping the procedure under NDA?
ISTR reading something about "it's secret because people would blame their own fscked-up fixes on Eyetech/dealers and want compensation", but the warranty if there ever was one is voided even if you get the fix done by an authorised party, and you'll have to pay for it.
"Licencees will have to develop and resource a full customer solution, with guarantees on product quality, delivery, and most important of all post sales support, with firm commitments to repair, replacement and turnaround, elements that have blighted the platform over the last five years." -- AInc/Eyetech, 12/4 2002
