As i said in the thread about this, the dead line was far to short, it should have been a month or two.
I agree. When a set release date is known for AmigaOS it would be reasonable to start thinking about deadlines for preorders, and if this was about memberships in a club a deadline makes no sense at all. The way it is now it just looks like a way to raise cash fast, and I'm sure that's not the way AI wants people to look at this.
