@djos,

I notice from your signature that you have a GBS-8220 scandoubler and flickerfixer, does this work well? I'm especially interested how it works in interlaced modes, have you been able to test these?

lol...djos...that sounds just like my description.

I'm 6 feet tall, shaved head (blonde hair) and blue eyes...I'm the Pommie, but you won't know that until I open my mouth.

I'm sure we'll figure it out.

Sorry to hear that Epsilon, hope you can make it next time.

Cameron, do you live in Country SA?

Ian, Derek, Michael - Was good to meet you guys earlier. As discussed I think we should organise our next meeting in a location where we can setup some equipment, I'll bring my A1200 and 1084s.

I can't really host anything here as we don't have the space. Is anyone else able to host? If not we could look at hiring a small room in a community centre, I doubt it would cost much. Let me know your thoughts.

Motion seconded, Good catch up today guys :)

Yeah I don't have the room either unfortunately, I reckon a council comunity center meeting room might be the go, no idea of cost tho.

I'll ring around and find out the cost and let you know. I assume Norwood or the surrounds would be about central for everyone?

Hi Derek, Thanks for the feedback, I think I'm going to stick with my 1084s for a little longer, atleast until the new firmware comes out for the Indi MK2. Then I'll probably either buy an Indi (assuming the reviews are good with the new fw) or get a PC monitor that can sync down to native 15Khz modes. I'm quite happy running my Amiga in a low res (640 x 200) as I like it to be responsive but it would be nice to have 640 x 480 interlaced working through the indi mk2 as I doubt that would slow things down too much.

@Wakido - No worries mate, as mentioned by Derek we'll have another meeting soon and bring along our hardware.

Sounds great Ian, How about a Friday night some time in September? I think I'm available pretty much any Friday night.

Looks like I was a little optimistic about when the computer room will be ready :-(  Still needs some preparation before the final coat.

I'm hoping everything will be ready in about 5 weeks.  Hope I'm not still being optimistic ...

I booted up my old 1200 last night, and, after a bit of fiddling, it booted up nicely.

But this morning all I get is the Kickstart screen.  Alas, my hard drive is pining for the fiords.  The A1200 lasted just long enough to remind me how pretty she is :-(

No worries mate, 5 weeks is fine. It'll be like a commodore museum when you're finished!
