Why not get a Chameleon64 then?

If you have an existing C64 or C64C then it plugs into the back, provides a VGA video out, floppy emulation (to allow *.D64 or *.PRG use), tape emulation (*.T64), cartridge emulation (*.CRT), extra RAM and speed for GEOS and lets you use any devices plugged into your actual C64 like joysticks, mice, real floppy/tape drives.

IF you don't have a C64 handy then the whole cartridge will work in a standalone mode (plug in a PS-2 keyboard) and if you attach the optional docking station then you can use the joystick ports on that.

There's much more too it  You can use a CDTV IR remote as a joystick, run a Minimig core, run a ZX Spectrum core, etc, etc.

that sounds real cool, but how do you deal with keys missing on the C= 64 that are on the Amiga core? other than the external PS2 i mean?
