Its kinda amiga related.  Al Lowe is remaking the original Leisure Suit Larry game, but is looking for backers to find it so he does not need to go through a company to do it.  They need $500000 in 30 days to find it, so far it is at $161,318.

It would be cool if he wanted to hire some programmers.

Anyway i played all of the original games. In fact,  its why i have a Roland MT32 when my most notable musical achievement was playing the recorder (poorly) in elementary school music class.

I happened to see a new Leisure Suit Larry game (for console) at Game Stop. I bought it, and playing it i can say that game is not even a shell of its former self... its like looking at the abomination that is http://www.amiga.com pushing their re-branded crappy tablets...

Hope its not a repeat of that junk!

I just fired up LSL5 on my A1200.

I forgot how bad the graphics are. Its like they used the EGA pallette or something....

The sound is great though using a ECE serial port MIDI adapter & Roland MT32.

I really wanted to play LSL3 with the MT32 but i need to find an Amiga MIDI driver for 3. The one from 5 does not work with 3 :(

You know, LSL and Kings Quest Space Quest were OK but you know what. I liked the Lucasfim games much more because you did not get 3/4 the the game and have to start over because you forgot to do something obscure in the first part of the game or walk of a cliff to your death because the movement was sort of slow and glitchy for precise control.
