Intel PPC in A600

Some time ago I posted a topic where I argued that I hade seen a x86 processor acting as a 68k processor inside a A600.

But I was wrong, I'm so SORRY :oops:

I got some figures wrong, here's how it is:

It's a Intel PPC processor that act as a 68k processor.
Probably something like coldfire project.

And he got NT 4.?? running on it through a x86 emulator, :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o

Well that is what it says on the processor.

On the NT 4 workstatiobn CD there is versions for PPC, alpha and x86 processors.

And he used the ppc version to get it running.


The intel processor must be some kind of hybrid like the ColdFire project, as I mention before.


Maybe I have to mention that this was not something that got the chance to be comercial.
It was probably only in some kind of experimental stage.


The purpose of this project was presumably that it would be complatible with 68k processors and that you woulden't need to manufacture new 68k processors to replays broken ones.

Probably for industrial purpos or something similare.
