I'm definitely not on facebook, myspace or something.  I have enough solid friends to even consider making those virtual ones.  It depends (usage justification) on that balance that is, how many people you're meeting every week.  Well maybe for some that's the only social way out, not for me, I ain't no target here.  And I don't like twitter either.  I'm not a Brittish Queen or Britney Spears to entertain the audience with the info that I'm just scratching my butt.  Also I have no business intension on informing anybody about my activities.  Coming to the business (I consider myself an addict to this kind of attitude towards everything) - all web2 usage is in 99% economically pointless.  But it is clinically some sort of a cheap relief, hence those crowds ready for subscription. But that's a huge space for targetting ads - this is why it is cool to be a facebook owner

Well amigaorg or awnet sites are pretty social but they're about hobbies, which makes those sites more to vortals than web2.  Besides this whole Amiga stuff is ill enough to have fantastic people only that stick around.

In my country there's a huge web2 portal nasza-klasa.pl, something like classmates.com.  It already has 11 milion accounts and my wife is spending much time on it.  I happen to be seeing my pals in a pub while she sits before it and pretends to be intelligent by prooving the people out there that she's smart enough.  I have no such needs, I don't need a therapy, I don't need a bulk of brand new friends either.

The only social site I'm active on is linkedin.  I heard many stories it is easy to find a job through it - as long as you work in some niche.  But I don't count on it, just refresh my cv every several months, possibly adding some friend I would rely on.  Just one more - imdb.com.  This is social but one can use it as a reference movie database only - that's what I'm doing - browsing the already existing data.

Was: Mac Mini PPC running MorphOS 2.4
Now: Amiga Forever 2010 with AmiKit and AmigaSYS
Not used: Icaros Desktop 1.2 (reason: no wifi)
Planned soon: an OS4 system
Shortly then: a MOS notebook (wifi is a must-have)
