IMHO you shouldn't bother with all those old beta patches which only eat up RAM anyway. Remember that you upgrade from 80 MB. Using 4GB will give you more than 50 times the space you have now. If 80M was sufficient until now, 4G should be enough for years.

Run fixhddsize and use the "set to 4GB" button. Then you can use HDToolbox to create partitions as you like without bothering about size limits.

If the button is greyed out, run HDToolbox first, install the drive and delete all partitions, then come back to fixhddsize.

Once the 4GB fill up you can still decice to run fixhddsize again and add the remaining space to the HDD. Perhaps then you are a bit more experienced with unpacking archives and reading documentation (and ignoring Mac HFS fork information).
