Why Dogs Are Better Than Cats

   1. Dogs will tilt their heads and try to understand every word you say. Cats will ignore you and take a nap.

   2. Cats look silly on a leash.

   3. When you come home from work, your dog will be happy and lick your face. Cats will still be mad at you for leaving in the first place.

   4. Dogs will give you unconditional love until the day they die. Cats will make you pay for every mistake you've ever made since the day you were born.

   5. A dog knows when you're sad. And he'll try to comfort you. Cats don't care how you feel, as long as you remember where the can opener is.

   6. Dogs will bring you your slippers. Cats will drop a dead mouse in your slippers.

   7. When you take them for a ride, dogs will sit on the seat next to you. Cats have to have their own private basket, or they won't go at all.

   8. Dogs will come when you call them. And they'll be happy. Cats will have someone take a message and get back to you.

   9. Dogs will play fetch with you all day long. The only thing cats will play with all day long are small rodents or bugs, preferably ones that look like they're in pain.

  10. Dogs will wake you up if the house is on fire. Cats will quietly sneak out the back door.

And yes, a cat will leave a dead mouse in your slippers.
At least they hunt for mice. And they'll eat it with bones and hair when you don't give the cat too much food. True, I've seen it.

You know what else a cat will do? A cat will EAT you if it has no food, a dog will starve by your side.
(I'll find a link, an elderly woman was trapped in her house, unable to get up, and her cats started to eat her alive! her dog was found dead of starvation.)

I forgot to add:

Cats crawl up on your chest at night and try to suck the soul right out out of your body while you sleep. Goddamn vampires.

Give a cat a litter box. The males will spray some of the most raw, foul, gut-bustinkimg cat funk you can imagnine all over the house. The females climb up and {bleep} in the potted plants.

 Having your beloved pet die sucks deeply. My parents once had this great sheperd which got overrun while being walked by my big brother (this was 15 years ago though). Took quite a while before I forgave him, not that he could help it or anything.

We just recently had a cat die, it was one we'd adopted, it was a wild cat that was fed randomly by different neighbors. It had a cut on his neck from scratching it, and when I went to look for it to take it to the vet I couldn't find it. Later my son found it in the barn, looked like it died of an infection from the cut.
