Are you sure it's the disks that are bad and not your drive that's gone west?

Have you got another drive to try them on?

I think if I had a load of disks hidden away and when I got them out - if they showed no sign of damage I'd suspect something other than the disks.

I'm not saying the new drive is bad but I think I'd try other things before writing all the disks off.

Like another Amiga if possible.

Have you tried any of these disks in another Amiga or disc drive?

I know you say only about 30% are bad but there may be a small problem wth your kit that is only showing faults on some discs.

If you'd like me to try a couple on my setup - let me know and I'll PM you my address.
