I keep getting holes in mine.

Is there a brand/model of sock that is better than all the others?

The first really big hole is supposed to be there. It's where you put your foot (exceptions duly noted) in..

As for the rest, keep your toenails and any nice rough bits of your feet under control, less abrasion then.

I really don't have a problem with 'lose' socks. Not these days, anyway...
