Hello Dagon,

Yes, this module is (hopefully) real because I ordered and already paid for it when I bought my Pegasos :-D

I checked with my dealer today, but he hasn't got it yet.
I don't know when it will arrive.

About your desired system:
Quote
Midi tower 6054L-C9 silver with 300 W power supply.
PPC CPU: G4 1 GHz
Harddisk AT/IDE 3.5",30 GB Exelstor 5400U
256 MB PC133 ECC Registered Buffered
64 MB ATI Radeon 7500 LE TV-Out
LG CED 8481B 48x/24x/48x silver
Floppy drive 3.5" HD, TEAC FDD 1.44 MB, beige
Neolec Wheel Optical mouse PS/2 and USB

I've bought the following:

I-cute tower with 6 fans and 300W
G4 1 GHz, but for now a G3 600 MHz
40 GB 7200 rpm harddrive
512 MB registered RAM (thought Kingston)
ATI Radeon 9000 64 MB
CD-Rewriter 40/16/48
Floppy (I believe it doesn't work...yet)
Cherry cordless keyboard and mouse
Set of boxes (inbuild soundcard)
DVD-ROM

As you see I've got almost the same configuration as you want. :-D

I paid 1500 Euro's for it.

I sure hope not! :-D

Or else I have to have my money back!

And for this I paid 190 Euro's more than for the coupon I bought last year for AmigaOne/OS4 (I forgot if the discount was for AOne or for OS4 :-?)

Hello uncharted,

I bought the whole system, without the DVD-ROM, pre assembled from my dealer. I only had to connect the wires at home (you can read it in my review of Pegasos+MorphOS :-D).

I know in the past some Amiga dealers sold "air"-stuff, but I trust this dealer in being a cautious dealer.
He will not sell something if he doesn't know for sure it will come out (like that site that claims OS4 will be out on 28 feb 2003 in one of the other threads :-)).

About the speed and noise:
I've got this I-Cute tower at home with 6 fans and the only real noise I hear is when you put in a cd in the drive and the clicking of the mouse and keyboard!! :-D
It's also true that a comparison between a G3 600 MHZ and G4 1 GHz is irrelevant in daily use (ofcourse it matters if you're doing a lot of CPU intensive mathematics), but it's nice to can say: "I've got a 1  GHz G4 unit inside" :-D :-D

Actually I was debating this part with a person who just bought a 2.4 GHz Athlon and uses it for making his own movies (and burning it on DVD). I've seen everything in action and to be honest, I was not impressed by the calculating of 1 minute of film to MPEG standard, it took minutes to complete!! (I don't know how many minutes. It is less than 10 I think)
I am wondering exactly how much CPU power goes to only running the Windows OS. Does anybody know this?

Hello Mountain_Myst,

I've got a very friendly dealer :-)
I know for sure he wouldn't take my money if he was doubting about this upgrade module.

But you're right, if I can't have this upgrade I'll just use this money to buy MakeCD V3.2C and that Settlers alike game Knights and Merchants (or so). :-D
