This is a great news. With Hyperion spreading the AmigaOS on different PowerPC architectures, there will be a "common language" for SAM, AmigaOne, Pegasos and maybe also Efika and old Macs. That would give the Amiga community something it missed for long time: numbers.

Numbers of people using it would mean turning back the platfrom to be a profitable one. I still miss the need of a retro-spec oriented platform (I frankly don't understand it), but this would be a good starting point to hope for a new family of more powerful machines. There is a whole market to re-create, and Hyperion is moving towards this goal much more faster and better than Amiga Inc ever did.
