Slightly hijacking this thread, but is there any other way to back up the entire SD card without opening up the unit and removing it?

I’m a bit reluctant to do so (does it void any warranty?) but equally would like a way of recovering if for some reason an update fails catastrophically (thankfully this one hasn’t, it just refuses to update to .795) and the system doesn’t even boot.

Can't see why it should unless you damage it.
Little confused as you sad update worked in next sentence say GS doesn't even boot???

I used a plastic tool to slowly and carefully lift them off

Exactly that.
