I don't know why no one has posted this link yet, and I feel terrible for letting this thread get this far before replying. Here is an outdated PCMCIA network card compatibility list:

Here's a video of me browsing the web with IBrowse in Super High Res Interlace as a demonstration of an S-Video adapter on my A1200 030:

Here's a video of me playing the Amiga's best online game, Dynamite, and streaming internet radio stations on the A1200 030 (sorry YouTube cut out the audio, but the music plays without skipping):

iCab has very primitive CSS support and not a single website I visited was laid out correctly. Since it's about ten times slower than IBrowse and offers no real advantage, it's not worth using through Shapeshifter to browse the web, but it's a nice experiment to try.

I was browsing ebay.co.uk just the other night and came across a few compatible PCMCIA network cards, but I didn't know anyone was looking for one so I didn't say anything. Keep an eye out for Etherlink III cards, many A1200 users including myself use them and they're great.

If you want IBrowse to run a bit faster it's best to disable Javascript and only enable it on the sites that require it to work properly. IBrowse is good in this way as it lets you set different settings for individual websites. You don't need Javascript enabled to browse Amiga.org through Karlos' proxy, for example.

Oh yeah, but it's easy to enable it again and reload the page when you need to use those, that's what I do on my 28Mhz Cobra 030 anyway. I don't have a FPU for it yet so IBrowse needs to use the CPU for everything and Javascript just makes everything much slower. Whenever I need to use a feature on a site that needs Javascript, I just enable it in the menu and reload. I think the designers of IBrowse made it easy to enable and disable all these features for people with slow Amigas.

Hey Ed, I got into Amigas because the CD32 was my first games console and my desire to play more games on it made me expand it with an SX32 and eventually branch out into using other Amigas and Aros.

There is a 020+ and a 020+FPU version of IBrowse, and I used to use the FPU version with my 8MB RAM card with FPU. I'm not sure exactly what it's used for, perhaps the image remapping or dithering. In any case, I could definitely tell the difference in speed when using the FPU version instead of the plain 020 version on my 8MB Amiga. I could multitask better, less slowdown.
