What do you guys think is a reasonable download
speed with a DSL account on a 1200 via PCMCIA?
The max I've been able to download is about
45,000 cps tops, which seems to translate to
about 40kb/sec or so....this seems a bit weak,
but I know of no other 1200's to compare it
to. I have a feeling that the port is slower
than the connection.

BTW: As to the original topic, I'm using an old
Edimax, works excellent.

Thanks for the info, Piru. I thought that perhaps
the PCMCIA port could only handle so much,
but aparrantly it can handle much more than
40,000 cps! Hmmm....thanks again indeed, I
may have to place a call to my ISP.  ;)

Thanks lorddef...I'm an idiot...;) I just figured
it out...I had kbytes/sec and kbits/sec confused
at times...being that my actual connection speed
is around 300kbits/sec (+/- 30kb/sec) my download
transfer rates of between 36 - 43kbytes/sec are
correct...you would be getting roughly 60kbytes/sec
transfer, Piru would get just over 200kbytes/sec
with his 1800000bits/sec connection...argh.
