I agree. The G4 looks spectacular on paper, and
yes it's pretty fast, but there's something
wrong when dual G4's are getting beaten by
single x86 processors in the real - world
(applications) benchmarks. It wouldn't be
such a big deal if it weren't for the
cost/performance ratio.
The G4 is still a great processor though. My
sister's G4/700mhz feels pretty fast, especially
under OS 9. OS X seems pretty sluggish still
no matter how fast of a mac it's run on.
Hopefully that will change soon.
