I always wanted to go and see Blur when I was growing up but for some reason I never did. When they changed the lineup I lost the urge, so the reunion gig is really fulfilling a childhood dream :-)

Snap! (Well, except I wasn't a child :-D)

I wish I could go and see a proper Pink Floyd concert :-(.

Likewise. I've seen Roger Waters several times, David Gilmour once and Pink Floyd minus Roger Waters a few times too.
Out of a group of around 15 pals I was only one who didn't get to the Live8 reunion gig.
With the recent death of Richard Wright that experience is sadly no longer possible.
Of course Syd Barret is gone as well.

But live gigs and concerts don't interest me at all. I'm the sort of person who listens to this music in private, quietly. That's how I enjoy it the most: kind of like a meal, almost in a selfish manner.

I do know what you mean. I actually prefer listening to music on my own in peace and quiet. I haven't been to many live shows - Aerosmith when I was 16, the Kaiser Chiefs a couple of years ago, Radiohead earlier this year, and now Blur next year. I have enjoyed all of the gigs I went to, but in all cases it would have been better without all the people  I do like hearing music performed live as there is something really exciting about seeing people you really admire performing right in front of you!

I love live music and try to make sure I see at least one concert per month. Recently I've been going to gigs every other week.
Saw Ben Kweller last Friday and he was top notch, as per.
