UK Amiga User Group and Club?

Hi all

This idea has been talked about on EAB and I was hoping to get an idea of demand for such a group / club. If you are in the UK and would join such a group / club then please add yourself to this Frappr/Platial map:

There is and I was hoping to attend the next LAG meeting but it was cancelled. This is a National idea and part of the idea was to try and help unite the local groups and create a National event for everyone to get together at (once a year maybe?). But also being a user group in its own right. Maybe members of local groups get reduced member fees or something as an incentive to join both? Just ideas at the moment but I'm not willing to put time and effort into something that isn't going to appeal to enough people.

I see how well Pianeta Amiga went and the excitement about AmiWest and wish we had something in the UK.

Wow, the map is starting to look impressive. Im creating a website to register people for the group and to start to get information on how the group should be run and get ideas for an annual meet. Ill keep you all updated.

Im starting a new web site for this group. Hopefully this will be available next week. Users can register to discuss what they want out such a group and what should be included in a UK meet/show. Keep tuned in.

Not far off. The website should be ready next week. We will be discussing the details and ideas at the MAG meeting on Nov 1st with a few people. Ill post any more info here.
