Well. It all started with SFS failing because of iBrowse cache. Now I've upgraded my Amiga with the latest SFS version. Because of that, my SYS partition is now formated. Its clean!
Well,.. its time to install AmigaOS. But is this a easy task? No! Why? Because I dont get contact with my cd-rom at all, and I dont have "working" AmigaOS v3.1 in disks at all.
Another problem here, is that the VGA output to Early Startup have burned itself into my Kickstart or into my CyberstormPPC flashrom. Because I am getting VGA output on Early Startup menu. This is very irritating, and when AmigaOS is launched, it switches back to PAL. So then the switching between VGA adapter and my tv modulator goes on and on and on. Not fun at all...
And now you say,.. There should be no VGA output to Early Startup when HD is formatted and AmigaOS v3.1 is installed. Yes, I've managed to install it in somehow parts.
But the strangest thing, is that if I plug out everything:
- My Voodoo 3 3000 PCI card
- All of my Zorro cards
- MediatorPCI4000Di board
- My 60GB Samsung HD
All I should get is PAL animation of the Kickstart v3.1 image. But thats is there, but after some time it just gets coded (like on TV, when a movie channel is coded for non-subscribers), then the screen turns black.
The same thing happends when booting into AmigaOS v3.1 .. The PAL signal is there, then it suddendly jumps to VGA output mode.
Whats doing this? Have AmigaOS v3.9 done something to the Kickstarts or might the PAL output hang in my CyberstormPPC board?
Please help out!
