The seller has had some offers but the A4000 is still for sale. I find it a bit overpriced but my experience both as an ebay buyer and seller tells me that he will get his price if he waits long enough--patience is a real virtue on eBay. I've both bought things cheaply and sold them at a good price by being patient and waiting.

I'd love to someday have an amiga 4000, or most especially an amiga 4000T someday. But someday may never come with the prices I have seen...

Back in the day when this stuff was new, it sold at even more fantastic prices in 1990s dollars. Then there was a golden era when it was discarded and neglected and sold for pennies on the dollar. I got interested in Amigas again just at the very last of that era--around 2006--and was delighted to find that all the gear in Amiga World that I could never afford in the 90s could be found on eBay for prices within my reach. I bought lots of it and ended up selling a lot of what I bought. In spite of the generally inflated prices, I still find good deals on eBay and bit by bit have built my A4000 into a really nice classic machine. Don't despair because of listings like this, keep looking if you want an A4000 and one will come up at a more reasonable price. I know from experience because I sold a project A4000 last year when I was broke for under $200 knowing the amount of time and work and knowledge it would take to get it working again. Not every seller out there is out for the maximum price. Some of us just want to get what we really think it's worth.
A2500 owned since 1993 with A2630/DKB 2632, DKB Megachip, GVP EGS Spectrum, A2320 and GVP HC+8 on the inside and a DCTV on the outside. A4000D with CSPPC, Cybervision 64 and a Flicker Magic flicker fixer. A4000T Toaster Flyer & CSMKII. All systems completly retro and classic and mostly used to do geometic art as in my avatar.
