MakeCD made me want to beat my head against a wall with its indecipherable user interface, but I have used it successfully in the past to burn CD's on my Amiga that could be read-back by my PC.
Well, it looks pretty messy at first, at least if you're not familiar how cd burning works generally, but when you learn it, it is actually quite simple to use afterall

Make sure you have plenty of memory for cache/buffer space, and burn slow.
Unless if you have SCSI, then you don't have to worry about anything. Just burn full speed and do other things with your computer

Never got any buffer underruns with SCSI setup... and I was surfing the web and listening mp3 at the same time. PC owning friend was horrified that I did those things while burning
