Amiga Magazines
« on: February 07, 2007, 01:22:14 PM »
Dear Peoples,

I know everyone here knows about Amiga Magazines, atleast, thats what I would expect, but anyway, before the good Amiga magazines die out totally, maybe for those who arent yet, may want to support the publishers.
Amiga gazeete is ok, atleast Im more of a mag man.
SO
I went Total Amiga(UK), good service too, and willing to answer emails promptly. Now I just bought two recently from the company, so I will be expecting them to arrive either friday or monday.
Heres The Link:
http://www.totalamiga.org/issue25.html

One can also get all the back issues up to about 22 I think it was on a CD, and view them all from PDF format.
OR
You can look at some of the recent back issues online, it may be all I havent checked that.

In general Amiga Mags are alive and well in:
UK, Germany, Usa, Italy
the other countries, only have one mag usually left in their country:
Czech, Japan, Denmark, Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia, Sweden.
One country hangin on:
Australia, the Amiga gazeete
And the others that had it, dead:
Canada, Norway, Spain(dead 4 now)

I know these people with Amiga's in these countries will ofcourse be buying em online if they still want mags, but I just thought Id point out, that Amiga is still Alive in this form also, and It will grow, If Bill McWen, the three joined Italian companies, Hyperion, etc, etc, all continue to strive and work together, then new developers and companies will start investing also, that is the plan anyway.

Enjoy, for some, the new found knowledge, but for most, old news.

Cheers 8-)  8-)

By memeory I only found one, from a German Amiga magazine. Lucky for me I can ead german, but I was hoping to get a MAgazine in English, for some friends that had a Sampler CD that comes with it.

Let us know

Cheers. 8-)  8-)

AMIGADAVE:

Why dont you do three days of research into Amiga, and look at many sites, and then in time you will learn which sites can be moreso trusted than others in information.
ALSO
While doing this, you will learn a lot of things you obviously dont think are true.
BUT IT IS TRUE, and I am trying to give truthful information here, I learnt the hardway initially, when everyone here was dissing me, but now I can see, that they know Ive bee doing my research.
AND
No, I think you should look it up, youve got the net, why should I always give people website links,I am a truthful person, I Hate liars, but I dont mind people who say something, but it isnt their own knowledge, but knowledge obtained, sometimes this knowledge obtained may be wrong.
BUT
In more than one instance I read about how Amiga Inc has partnerships with various companies, Amiga is growing, maybe not within the community yet, but as a Company they are getting somewhere.
Hopefully when their systems start coming onto the Market, it Amiga will start growing in the communities.
I THINK
Amiga should start selling their 2002 stock and even new hardware to second world classed countries, and start building up from there.
After all, if everyone uses Amiga in certain type of countries, atleast Amiga will have a backbone and a steady income to advance their Technologies.

Cheers 8-)  8-)

ALENPPC:

Do us all a favour, just buy Total Amiga, Ive written the facts in my original post, on how the current Magazine situation is, and here you go saying all of this, and sounding really negative.

My main man, Negativity will get you nowhere in life.

2004, would be roughly a bit over two years old

that means, anything lving that is two years old, is old??

OK

I see we have interesting lot of people here.

Also, even if its dead in America, its not dead everywhere.

There are atleast 8 magazines still circling, surely thats not bad, considereing the power of the internet has also led to many of the magazines dying, whether it be Amiga, or other companies that now strive on the net.
