Acube says it works, and it had better!  What the heck else would I use?  None of my other options are supported.

Well, did you ever get it working?  I had the exact same problem (and a bunch of others!) and it was because I had PFS3 on the partition I installed to.  I installed SFS via MediaToolBox and alles gut.  MediaToolBox also corrected my SCSI settings (!) which I had set more conservatively just to be sure the install would work.  So, it is probably a good idea to run MediaToolBox and check out the install partition before installing!

I'm getting nowhere either, and neither is the guy on the other side of town who we installed 4.0 on his 3000 today.

It seems the install CD is pretty much the same as the installed OS, if it works, your PPC is working.

I NEED too boot from my RAID, and as soon as OS4 starts booting (after the rekick), it freezes the SCSI bus.  Without the RAID, everything is okay.  This is no use to me. :madashell:

On top of it, I had to steal the Ariadne from one of my 2000's just to get back on the network, and due to the boot sequence on my 3.9 partition, I get total lockup on boot because the Meditator netcard isn't installed.  I have half a mind to install both netcards and use each one for a different OS!
