Cool, thank you! :)

Question:

Is it possible to get it going without afa running? If I try, it doesn't load, just a window pops on the screen for a split second. Maybe it's a fonts issue? (Though Netsurf-ttf 2.1 works juts fine.) SnoopDOS provides no clues.

Anyhow, fun to see this run on an A2000. On real 68k, the speed is entirely reasonable considering the hardware IMHO.

Yes, NetSurf runs even *without* Afa_os. Just copy the dejavu fonts in netsurf fonts directory http://dejavu-fonts.org/wiki/index.php?title=Download

@Artur:

Have u found some helping hand who can help u doing a MUI version ?

Yeah, the fonts have to be there for it to work either way it seems. No problem with afa running, but without it doesn't start.

On my Workbench 3.1 setup *without* Afa_os, NetSurf works perfectly.
Try to put your workbench on a RTG screen with 16 bit depth, instead of leaving the workbench on native screen.

Is there someone who can help Artur do the MUI interface for Netsurf ??
What I'm missing right now in netsurf, compared with eg. Ibrowse, is the possibility to customize the interface however I want.

next netsurf also have faster scroll, because netsurf use CPU and memmove to scroll data on GFX Card.thats slow on Amiga.Use SDL_BlitSurface is lots faster

Next Netsurf should also have MUI interface.
Here's a MUI programming tutorial (http://www.ezcyberspace.com/gcc/index.html ), in case you or Artur aren't particularly experienced in MUI.

change of GUI is lots work, and if its not sure when netsurf get Java Script and frames, i dont want spend much work on it.Because the netsurf devs do not care about MUI or amiga code, they can change at any time something, so the MUI Version fail to work(happen with MOS MUI code).and then there is more time need.

So its better to wait for a nicer GUI until netsurf have all features modern browsers have.

Artur have add to sdl GUI all features a modern browser need, download of files with progress request.show and download videos, bookmarks and hotlink buttons.

only scroll and textinput must enhance and all important can do with it as can do with a nicer GUI

OK, I get it! :-)
Can u at least, add some sort of contextual menu? I want for example right-click on a link and run an arexx script.

@bernd_afa & Artur:

On Aminet there's this library for Aros to zunify GTK apps (http://aminet.net/package/dev/lib/libgtk-mui.i386-aros).
Can u compile it for 68k and use the NetSurf GTK build ??

@Artur:
The italian site http://ready64.org doesn't display the menu on the left side of the screen.
It works on FireFox (without Javascript). Maybe it's a problem with the rendering engine, in which case u should report it to Netsurf authors ?

perhaps it is a known issue that netsurf engine has with frames?

The above site doesn't have any frames.

I'm still waiting someone to do a MUI version. This won't be Bernd, as he's patiently waiting for javascript and dom support to be added. :)

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the work done by Artur & Bernd. Yet I ( and lots of people) won't fire up the Amiga Workbench to go to Google Maps, they just want to have a "passable" (ie, with proper layout, which NetSurf already has) surfing experience those times they want to use their miggies.

My 2 cents!

Now, I'm going back to AWeb with its EXCEPTIONAL Arexx host which can do magic even these days.
