Welcome wurzel

I was lucky enough to live in beautiful Jersey for about 5 years. It was sun, sea, sand and something   all the way. I've never seen so many gorgeous girls in one place during the summer season in Jersey, when they all came over to work and party.

Excuse my spelling of them but are great places like the pub Le Buvette in town still around?

What about Lords disco? Madisons disco that had the amazing beach party on Thursday nights to which the boys wore T-shirts and shorts and the girls wore Bikini's? (Hmmmmm.... wet T-shirt contest)  Thackereys diso? Sands disco way out at St Ouens? Les Arches was a Saturday night favourite for me and the lads too.

I believe you can't get residential qualifications to live there now unless you were on the island before 1981 and stayed there for 10 years? The only other way is to have a £zillion pounds in the bank right? Does Roger Moore still have the place he called Moonraker after one of his films?

EDIT - Actually, some of my mates married local Jersey girls and could then stay there with them of course  8-)

That's what I thought. Although part of the UK, Jersey has its own government and it appears there will be no immigrants arriving there to claim benefits and be housed.

If a fortune drops into my lap I know where I will be heading back to and taking my Amigas with me  ;-)

(oooooooh..... I guess I should take the wife and kids too )
