As someone who owns a C= produced A4000T (s/n 16) I can tell you that there is *NO* difference between the machines other then the case so yes, the price is rediculous.

The *ONLY* thing that is rare on any A4000T (all C= and a few ESCOM / QuickPak) is that they originally shipped by default with a high density floppy drive.  Since the supply quickly dried up after the demise of C= and chinon quit making them most Escom / Quickpak A4000Ts only have the regular density drive by default.

X-Ray,

I don't know what it is like overseas but here in the US you get more money by parting out your Amiga then you do by selling it as a whole unit.  This isn't an absolute but it is quite common (at least here).
