1985:huge numbers of people and businesses eagerly paid $1495 for slow (7mhz) IBM compatibles because the genuine IBM was twice that price;and Apples were even higher!
$1500 of today's dollars has maybe 1/3 to 1/2 the purchasing power of 20 years ago in most thingsa except electronics.
For a niche market product,if done well, this is really about as good as can be expected-provided it comes with updated AmigaOS and a suite of apps for audio/video at the casual level with software upgrade to pro apps.Be nice if it would run the legacy apps.
Plenty of PPC and X86 family boxes out here for Ubuntu and other linux.
