Inspired by
TheGoose's thread on bringing his A1000 back to life, and not to hijack his thread with my work, I have brought my A1000 to life and done some... horrible things to it.

I went ahead put my flakey Derringer into the system and found that, yep, it's still pretty flakey. Sometimes it will see RAM, sometimes not. Most of the time if it sees RAM it sees the wrong amount, usually only 2MB.
The Derringer is the top of a CPU socket stack of three expansions: AdIDE2 on the bottom, with a Kwikstart II in the middle.
I'm not actually sure the AdIDE2 is working where it is, since boot takes no time at all to fall over to the floppy. I would expect that there would be at least a few seconds delay on the IDE.
