AROS to drop Amiga from it's acronym

Amiga Research Operating System  to become AROS Research Operating System


According to Amiga-News, Aaron Digulla said the name "Amiga" would be deleted from the project name because of the legal steps of Amiga Inc. done against Hyperion.

Writing Replacement instead of research was done out of unconsciousness, as Dammy said it, once the R on AROS stood for replacement

It did not, there was a mistake on the part of the submitter of the news item.

There was a mistake and it was already acknowledged by the submitter.

Well Amiga Inc had contacted AROS in the past and never defended it... and they have to, they might lost it otherwise...
