Here's my conversion of a C64 PAL DTV2 which I posted a photo of over at the Petscii Forum about 9 months ago.  I used a screwdriver case.

Based on the info on the Petscii Forum, some stores like Radio Shack may still  have a few left for about $15 ~ $20 in the US.  I'm in the UK and some discount stores still sell them for about £5 ~ £10.
